"Poverty is a one-day event, we get a report released and we're going to talk about poverty, but every day we hear what the stock market does," says Dean Baker, GRITtv economics correspondent. The problem with that kind of coverage, Baker notes, is that "many more people will experience poverty than will strike it rich in the stock market." Millions of Americans experience poverty not as a one-day affair, but as a constant, grinding force in their lives.
Baker joins us via Skype to talk about Elizabeth Warren's sort-of-appointment, the whinging of the rich over tax increases, and Bill Clinton's comments about the recession's end, among other things.

eCONomists
Why do we even listen to them? What purpose do they serve? Be it a liberal or conservative economist,
their mission is to keep our faith in the market.
Here what no econmist ever speaks of…..The Market and the eCONomy in the the United States is
100% dependent on the Military Employment Economic System. Every job in America is in some way
dependent on this employment system, and the Market would take a big crash if anyone tried to change
this employment system. However , we don’t have to worry about that since the ones that own our
National Debt, write all of our legislation , take it to Capitol Hill where a staged debate takes place, the
party in the minority gets to play act the “good guy” in this staged debate. The roles get flip flopped almost
every election cycle. Our government is owed by the International Investors that own our debt, they
will make sure it is perpetual war for perpetual profit. So go ahead and vote, if you are dumb enough
to fall for the General Electric vs Murdock show and you are molded by Fox News, vote Repub,
if your persuasions are molded by MSNBC, vote Dem. It’s a game, you all are the pawns.
Suppose everyone got what they wanted , a president and a Congress that said “No More War” and
meant it, how would this be achieved? Windmills and solar panels couldn’t handle the 60% unemployment
this would create. Nobody talks about this delemma.
NOT ONE ECONOMIST ! ! ! ! ! They are false. They create nothing. They are worthless.
I say , we ought to shut down all Ivy League Schools.,, and put the money into K 1 thru 12 public
education. Ivy Lawyers are worthless. Economists are just blowhards with a degree that know a
little math.

So , if my previous post makes it through moderation, I will pose this question.
Suppose we were to get what we wanted, a president and a Congress that said
“No More War” and meant it, how would we do it?
What I am trying to bring out is that just pulling a voting lever is not going to solve the immense
problems here in America. It is going to take sacrifice , sharing, hands on cooperation by everyone
in the country working together. This is exactly what the Centrist lawmakers that manage the
plutocracy for the Oligarchs don’t want. And that is exactly why we also have these staged
populace splitting media events on the MSMs. So until our mainstream media quits dividing us
between Red States and Blue States, we’re screwed.
