After video hit YouTube of eighty-nine year old reporter Helen Thomas, telling an interviewer that Israelis should “get out of Palestine” and go back to Poland and Germany and other places, the white House issued an immediate condemnation. Reprehensible was their word. In the ritual flagellation that's followed, one can't help thinking that the grande dame of the White House press corps would have gotten less grief if she'd purposely cheated the financial system and took taxpayer money to recover.

Helen Thomas was absolutly right. Why an American, Polish or German Jew has the right to live all over the west bank and Jeruslem ?and on the other hand a Palestinian from those states or any other state on the globe ,who were born born in Palestine can’t even visit their families. Why an Jew from all over the globe , the minute he or she arrives to Palestine will have the right for cheap housing in Palestine and Palestinians are prohibited to build their own homes on their own land . The hypocracy of the west , who plant Israel as a banana republic to serve their corporate interest, is shameless. and knows no limits

I agree with Thomas. There was nothing wrong with what she said. That’s the only way there will ever be peace in the Middle East. And of all shows to say she was wrong. How would you feel if Obama came and took your property and gave it to someone else? It’s just another case of eminent domain – taking from one private owner and giving it to another under some guise.

Of course Helen Thomas was right. She’s one of the few who tells the truth – the politicians are bribed to buy opinions and votes in favor of Israel no matter what it does. The 200+ lobbies for Israel put millions of $ into their pockets. Legal? Of course not but the politicians vote for their own raises – what does one expect from them?

I do not understand what she was sorry about saying. Europeans&Americans took native lands. Its called imperialism. I do not recall them saying sorry or giving it back. Israel is not going to give up this land anymore than the US will give back Hawaii. .

Helen Thomas was not angry when she made her statements. She made them ‘matter of fact like’ and was to the point. Her comments should not even be considered shocking in light of all of the violence, Israeli perpetrated violence included, happening in our world to innocent people. Helen Thomas should be apologised to, not made into the enemy, by any individual politician known to take sides with Israel on anything and everything Israel has lately done, like the crazy warmongers they appear to be, acting violently regardless of the outcome! She said nothing wrong at all!
