Republicans might have dropped their filibuster and agreed to allow a debate on financial reform, but with the amount of money that Wall Street firms have sunk into both Republicans and Democrats, does it make a difference? And what kind of reform do we really need, anyway?

Nothing will come of it. There’s no watch dog in this country holding anybody accountable. We’re back to the way things were before the War, and the New Deal.
They’ll never have TV media again in this country covering things like they did in the 1960s. That was successfully taken over by the Top 1%. The US voters will never hear anything truthful so they can be truly informed to make decisions so they will always be in the dark and subject to fear mongering and conspiracy theories.
The Independent Senator is way outnumbered and neutered by his colleagues in both parties who are bought by Wall St and everybody else. The Chalfont video says it all. And we are right back to the way things were in the 1800s.
The Supreme Court lets this kind of non-watchdog media eco-system live on here, keeping voters in the Dark. They are just like the Courts before them who allowed Jim Crow for 100 yrs, and the other Courts who allowed Slavery for 90 years before that.
They’re watching out only for the Property Rights of the Top 1% with their campaign finance and propaganda as “free speech” rulings against the rest of the 99% whom they view as the enemy. They are not protecting the Property Rights of the rest of the 99%. There will be no financial regulation reform in this country to protect the 99% against the 1% under this campaign finance regime allowed by this Supreme Court.
Their media ownership “non-rules” also are perfect to enable scapegoating and dis-info to heighten fear and violence on the ground, and neuter any at all Watchdogging these Thieves. So there is no real pressure on them at all. They need some group held down and vilified, just like they allowed with Jim Crow for 100 yrs, and the NAZIs used too during their era. Now it is Latinos and Muslims who get it. The Court eats right out of their hand. They were put there by these people , and they know it!
