The healthcare battle continues and GRITtv Host Laura Flanders makes the case for a single payer public option and why Obama should spend some political capital in order to make sure it happens. There are high approval ratings for a public plan so what's stopping him? Well, maybe the psycho babble that surrounds so much of the national conversation on healthcare.

From now on I’m calling Laura the “Bus Driver” because every time she gets on a panel and the other participants try to take the bus over the cliff, she always steers them back to the main road.
Good job!

maggiesboy: has Laura been a guest on Bill Maher’s HBO show yet? She should be. When he has a good panel with chemistry, Bill has hands down the best political discussion show on the teevee anywhere.

What are the chances that the current darling of the Canadian HealthCare Hater’s Club Inc., Ms. Shona Holmes, would have been denied care under a private healthcare plan given that her non-malignant cyst was very likely a pre-existing condition?
