Efforts to deliver aid and medical supplies to the people of Gaza have become increasingly difficult. On June 30, a vessel carrying humanitarian aid was turned away by Israeli gunships and the activists were arrested and held for seven days before being deported. The United Nations Relief and Works Agency has been on the ground providing aid to the people of Gaza for 60 years.
