The battle over healthcare reform continues to play out on the Capitol, where Congress is preparing to review Sen. Kennedy's long-anticipated bill. President Obama recently presented the economic imperative of reforming our current system before everyone's healthcare is 'put in jeopardy'. Geri Jenkins, Co-President of the California Nurses Association, participated in Congress' first ever hearing to examine the single-payer option. She reports back on the hearing from Washington, D.C.

Last Friday, another Palestinian man was shot dead in a confrontation with Israeli soldiers in the West Bank. As public opposition to the Israeli occupation continues to grow, many religious Jews are amongst those speaking out to stem the violence. Rabbi Arik Ascherman of Rabbis for Human Rights tells us what action they are taking in the name of human rights.
