The Afghan constitution contains eleven articles that address the rights of women, one of which mandates that 25 percent of the lower house be female. Today, there are 91 female parliamentarians from all over the country. But in the last few years the Taliban has reclaimed power in the war torn country. Nasrine Gross, President of the Roqia Center for Women's Rights in Afghanistan says that there are two battles being fought: one political and the other ideological.
