Why is the AIG bailout so infuriating? And what does Geithner mean when he says the company is too big to fail? Well, it has a lot to do with Goldman Sachs and with the consolidation of power in Washington. The real takeover, Matt Taibbi writes in Rolling Stone, has more to do with power than money.
Jane Hamsher of Firedoglake, Robert Johnson, former managing director of Soros Funds Management, and Matt Taibbi a contributing editor at Rolling Stone on the takeover of Washington. If you were pissed off before, well, brace yourself.

What a great panel of commentators. Matt Taibbi is one of the best journalist today. If he has anything to say, I want to hear it. I was first impressed with his stories about being with the press corp on the flights for the presidential campaigns. He liken the elite main stream media types to a high school popularity contest. A keen insight into the personalties of these kids holding microphones. I look at some of there stuff and I just imagine high school kids trying to impress each other. Matt’s recent article is just incredible. I sense he possess principles of humility and honesty which enable him to speak truth to power. Robert Johnson was brilliant and I love Jane Hamsher. I watch “Sqwuak Box” every morning to get an impression of where the right wing wants to steer the masses. If these guys were to come on the “Box” it would be like pennies falling from Heaven. I can just see the Becky Quick, like some high school cheerleader, mouth wide open, in shock at the vagabond that was let into the school lunchroom. Well anyway, I digress. Great panel! I am a fan.
