Well, Van Jones has been selected to serve as Green Jobs Adviser to the Obama administration. Jones, the author of The Green Collar Economy, will work within the Council on Environmental Quality. There’s something to be said for getting what you wish for. Back in October, during the height of the presidential campaign, I asked Van Jones if he would serve as director of the EPA in an Obama White House. He said he wasn’t qualified but that he’d be happy to serve in some other capacity, perhaps as green jobs adviser. So here’s to Van Jones. And to the power of TV. GRITtv.
