Retired Col. Ann Wright, along with a delegation of peace activists, reports from Gaza. Wright says that the activities marking International Women's Day in Gaza, including a demonstration of 2,000 demanding fair and equal treatment from the leaders of Hamas, are a remarkable vision of the resilience of the women of Gaza. The delegation will be visiting refugee camps and neighborhoods leveled during Israel's recent invasion. They are also demanding that Israel lift its blockade on the people of Gaza.

Let’s take our compassion and concern and turn it into action:
* US citizens must tell their Members of Congress that they want them to pursue a balanced, constructive foreign policy that will lead to an end of the occupation and the establishment of a just peace between Israelis and Palestinians. Please call your member of Congress at 202-224-3121 today!
* Ask George Mitchell to meet with the women of Gaza
* Write a letter to the editor of your local newspaper expressing your views, and/or call in to political talk radio.
* Bring up these issues in your faith community; read, watch videos, host discussions.
