Amy Goodman, the host of Democracy Now!, and the recent recipient of the Right Livelihood Award, talks about the show's 13-year history and the role of independent media in an age of corporate domination. The Internet, she says, is capable of providing a global platform for social justice. The media can be a great force for peace in the world and can build bridges between communities. So the answer to corporate globalization? Grassroots globalization.
And a new game for the holiday season. Wreck the Nation! Goodman and Guest Host Lizz Winstead give it a spin.

Interesting that ATT should pop up with an ad right when Amy is talking about how the telecoms are writing legislation to do away with net neutrality. They can’t be liking that.

Amy Goodman is one of my heroes. She digs deep and fairly. The Israeli Palestinian conflict is not off limits to Amy as it is to the MSM and most of the so called “progressive” blogosphere. Amy is committed to truth, justice and honest reporting. Thank you for this interview. Thank the heavens for Amy
