Leni Stern spent two years living in Mali and Senegal, recording an album with African musicians and immersing herself in African life and culture. She was deeply influenced by the tradition of story telling in Mali and has incorporated many of the musical elements into her new album, Africa. Her remarkable journey was a bold new chapter in her life and the Washington Post has described her new album as, "deeply soulful - a cross cultural prayer meeting of sorts."
