There were a lot of big stories that did not get the kind of coverage they should have at the Democratic National Convention. Our roundtable looks back at what the mainstream media missed with Denis Dison, Vice President of the Gay & Lesbian Victory Fund and Leadership Institute; Rebecca Traister, staff writer for Salon; Roberto Lovato, contributing editor at New America Media (NAM); and Stanley Aronowitz, Distinguished Professor of Sociology and Urban Education at CUNY. They weigh in on whether real policy changes have been achieved in the last decade and how activism and protest have been restricted since 9/11.
We also look at the coverage, or non-coverage, of the protests in Minneapolis-St. Paul and the revelations surrounding John McCain’s running mate, Sarah Palin. And coming up at noon today a live panel with Chris Hedges, Elizabeth Holtzman, and John MacArthur. In the midst of multiple crises and a highly unpopular war time president where will Democrats direct their anger and unrest? Stay tuned.

Hell they missed the Seniors Caucus which was focused on privatization of Social Security if McSame gets in.
They missed the Native American caucus, the African American caucus, the Hispanic caucus.
Hell they missed challenging the Democrats unwillingness to talk about issues of accountability for the lies leading up to the invasion, torture, outing of Valerie Plame, did I say torture, politicization of the Dept of Justice, illegal wire tapping program.
I must say that MSNBC’s Chris Matthews kept bringing these issues up but no one would take the ball and continue questioning the lack of accountability that both the Democrats and Republicans are complicit in.
The MSM missed a great deal. What else is new
