It's Giuliani time... in Denver. While I was walking down the streets of Denver on my way to a Media Matters event, I spotted my former Mayor, Rudy Giuliani. After years of grimacing at the sight of Giuliani who protected our city from squeegy men and our cops from the law, I said what I had practiced in front of the mirror so many times and challenged by saying: "I'm a native New Yorker. Can I get a picture with you?" Wow. So much for the anti-police brutality rallies I went to in high school. But had I spoken truth to Mayoral Power, I would not have been able to score this amazing photo. And my Obama-flage hat had the subliminal and hypnotic affect I was hoping for. And he knew that turning down an offer to pose in a photo with camouflage would be letting the terrorists win. But what he didn't know was that appearing in a photo with Obama-flage would be helping Obama win.
