Thanks for watch our live taping - the full show will be posted here at 8pm Eastern.Has the right to dissent - - to critique and protest the actions of our government whether here or abroad - - been meaningfully curtailed? Certainly there's a lot to be critical of, from a monstrous, illegal war in Iraq to an assault on civil liberties at home. Yet at a time of deep uncertainty, dissent seems to have lost its edge. Has the Bush administration effectively limited our ability to protest? Or have protesters fallen silent?

There's a long tradition of dissent and civil disobedience in this country. At times people have taken to the streets and criticism of the government has been highly visible. Today when protesters converge, Bush et al. cite their actions as an example of democracy flourishing. We know this not to be true. On our live panel today we take on the issue of dissent with Laurie Arbeiter of The Critical Voice, Dana Balicki, Codepink's Campaign Director, Aden Fine, an ACLU Senior Staff Attorney, and Heather Reddick, International Operations Director of Students for a Free Tibet--and you!!
