GRITtv will be in Denver for the convention. In some ways, we all know what to expect. A big prime time event that will cost millions of dollars and say little we don’t already know. All of the big players will settle their differences and come together to defeat John McCain, who already appears to have exhausted his arsenal of tricks. In fact, he’s doing little more than repeating Hillary’s line of attack. And not as well.

After the gutsy primary the presidential campaign is shaping up to be, well, pedestrian. Obama has, not surprisingly, caved toward the middle and the left is divided over what it means. Is he just doing what is necessary to get elected and saving his progressive agenda for later? Or is he simply another middle of the road candidate, albeit one with an extraordinary ability to move people?

You can be sure most of these questions won’t be aired at the convention. It will be a display of unity, corporate sponsors and all. That’s why GRITtv will be in the streets to tell the larger story. If this is our party, our convention then shouldn’t we be heard? We want to know what you think should be covered and what you think the convention should be about. Send us your comments here and be a part of the conversation.
