Obama skipped town last fall when the Kyl Lieberman warmongering amendment on Iran cam up for a vote. When he could have made a solid anti-unnecessary war statement and voted NO NO NO on this amendment as Senators Biden and Dodd did his commitment to diplomacy and negotiations with Iran would have been demonstrated.

Instead he stood on the fence, left town, played it safe instead of making a solid stand. We have been hearing the same warmongering zealots who lied our nation in Iraq repeating unsubstantiated claims about Iran for 5 years. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. I don’t trust Obama on the Iran issue.

While googling to learn more, I came across this video at FORA.tv:

Lila Azam Zanganeh: Uncensored Iranian Voices

Haven’t finished watching it yet, but it’s quite good.

From the description:

Apr 19th, 2006.

From the New York Public Library, a conversation about Iranian politics and culture with the editor and contributors to the book My Sister, Guard Your Veil; My Brother, Guard Your Eyes. Taking part are: editor Lila Azam Zanganeh and contributors Azar Nafisi (author of Reading Lolita in Tehran), Shirin Neshat (author of Shirin Neshat: 2002-2005), Roya Hakakian (author of Journey from the Land of No), Azadeh Moaveni (author of Lipstick Jihad) and poet Naghmeh Zarbafian. Actress Soraya Broukhim opens the event by reading selections from the book.
