Slavery was abolished . . . right? Think again. In this short from the Human Rights Watch International Film Festival, two young women decide to find out what really goes into the making of a pair of jeans. The film, made by philosophy students from Queen Elizabeth School in partnership with Whitewood & Fleming, reveals the truth about modern day slavery.
The Human Rights Watch International Film Festival runs in NYC through June 26. The Human Rights Watch film series Youth Producing Change plays in New York June 20-21 and then heads to Boston, London, and San Francisco, and schools across North America.
