After receiving an honorable discharge after almost five years of service in the U.S. Army, Sgt. Matthis Chiroux discusses his refusal to redeploy to Iraq as ordered on June 15. Chiroux took action as a result of testimony by Iraq Veterans Against the War member, former Army Sgt. Kris Goldsmith. He was moved to take his stand in opposition to the war and call attention to the pervasive neglect of the mental health needs of veterans upon their return.
